Effin Ponderous
Drove by a local Mitsu dealer yesterday and saw 4 loaded Evos; 2 with sticker prices at about $37K, and 2 at about $33K. Anyone have any idea if they are starting to dump them yet or is there no EVO available yet in the new body style?
wukindada
Those cars are very close to 2yrs old....... I'd think 30k would be overpaying;) Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!

Effin Ponderous
Weird too, is that 3 were silver, is that the only color for 06, like they do with Spec B's?
wukindada
hey...I got a line on a new 06 Spec B if your interested! Even trade for a modded 05 wagon?? Only if the "shrekB" has factory nav;) Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
Effin Ponderous
Even trade for a modded 05 wagon?? Only if the "shrekB" has factory nav;) Believe it or not, they want over $30K for it still! It has 4k miles on it by the dealer but has yet to be titled, so they can't even lease it.
wukindada
They will be VERY lucky if they get 24k out of it........ may as well bronze that car & put it up on the shelf;) 30K........that really is :lol: Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!! Effin Ponderous
I know, and I threw that at them, but they didn't budge. So back to the Evo question, do you think they'd go that low as well?
wukindada
I'd be willing to say you could get one of those with a 37k sticker for 31-32kK if you are really serious..... My spine is aching just thinking of that car!! Is it a MR special edition? Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
Effin Ponderous
I take it they are a rough ride, or are they just that fast?
chenc544
check out the evo boards..see what they are saying. My guess is they are not limited edition cars, so they should be willing to deal. Who knows, dealers can be crazy. 06 models on the lot when 07s are out and 08s are around the corner, seems like bad business. There is no '07 EVO IX for the USDM. There was some issue with new side impact regulation and it wasn't worth making an updated MY07 when EVO X is right around the corner. You can get IX SE for 30.5k, IX MR SE for 34k or regular IX for $29k. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=274501
chenc544
I take it they are a rough ride, or are they just that fast? I didn't think the ride was overly rough. The problem I had with the EVO is it's interior. I love the Recaro front seats but the other parts of the interior still looks like an econo-box, which of course it's one. Compare to the LGT you don't get all the luxury items like heated seats/mirror, climate control, etc. As much as we complain about the LGT's sound system the regular EVO's radio is a complete joke, but at least it's easy to swap out for an aftermarket unit. There is also the lack of cruise-control... I guess it's some kind of EVO tradition. Anyway, I pretty much understand and agree with doing without all these in an EVO, but I already have a track car so for my daily driver I would rather have the luxury that came with the LGT. Barrok
Yeah, the base wrx cost me 200 bucks more a year than the LGT. Instead of 900 a year I pay 700. Imagine if it was a STI or EVO. Not worth it if you ask me, unless the car just totally dominates!
Balrock
insurance will pwn u I was looking at EVO's when I got my LGT. The EVO was only a couple hundred more than the LGT for insurance, but the EVO itself was around 7K more than the LGT:spin:
