bushonk
I may feel like a tool here shortly, but is there a method of purchasing just the fsb from the rallitek website? The only place I see it mentioned is in the front/rear kit. Assuming I'm not a dork, what's the pricing on just the front?

CDN 2.5i
I am willing to entertain a GB. Hi Sean, Thanks for being willing to do a group buy for us. Do you have an idea of how many pieces you would require for a group buy and what the price would be? As I already have a RSB, I'm only interested in a front myself... Also, can you estimate/calculate the increase in rate over the stock (2005) 2.5i bar? thanks Andrew

Also, can you estimate/calculate the increase in rate over the stock (2005) 2.5i bar? thanks Andrew I will work up costs and volume. (I have 50 sets on order that should arrive about mid-month.) I am thinking the GB can run for the whole month of August, and we ship out at the end of the month.... Thoughts...??? CDN 2.5i
We might need the time to generate the numbers... there doesn't appear to be that much interest as of late. however, with it being the only readily available alternative to stock that I'm aware of, you would think that we should be able to get a few people together... Post up your expectations on volume/price when you get the numbers worked out and we'll see how it goes. I was hoping to get a bar sooner rather than later, but I'll try to patient enough to wait until the end of August. Did you have a figure for increase in rate over the stock bar? thanks Andrew

Rallitek.com
Thanks! Our front bar is 22mm. So: 20% stiffer than 21mm 46% stiffer than 20mm for older cars with 18mm bars: 123% increase in stiffness Info on stock rear bars? (most are 13mm - 18mm, some 20mm, do you hve the breakdown?) As far as the GB, I'm down, I just made the decision to buy this last night anyway. I guess I'll see if a group buy comes to be...
Rallitek.com
I see it there... That makes our rear bar 157% stiffer than stock. Sean S. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w151/RalliTEK/Rallitek_banner_top717.jpg

Rallitek.com
looking for an update on the group buy... Our website crashed and I had to re-build. My schedule is behind. I am having trouble working a GB structure for all the different bars. I am thinking of a blanket 10% off sale. Whaddaya think? I made a graphic for the sale: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w151/RalliTEK/SwayBarSale_Aug07.jpg

I got it on, it stiffened up the front a bit more...and it looks nice Haven't really had a chance to throw it around though. MonkeyHermit
i'll be getting one too then how well do you think the IPD FSB will mate up with JDM RSB? I think it'll be a well balanced match, more towards neutral than oversteer. I've got the AVO RSB and it's the same thickness as the JDM RSB, but I think the AVO is a bit stiffer with the way the bends are.

Rallitek.com
IPD FSB bolts onto stock bracket and reuses stock bolts? Yes, (bars are labeled 'RalliTEK' these days) Our RalliTEK FSB re-uses stock bolts, but not the stock brackets or bushings. RalliTEK Brackets and poly bushings are included. Thank you, Sean S. http://www.RalliTEK.com http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w151/RalliTEK/nasioc-banner.gif

AVO is much stiffer than JDM because of the solid construction even though both are 20mm. You are right on with how the performance is affected... Oversteer/Understeer is usually a driver preference. Adding our FSB will reduce body roll, thus reduce the actuation of the rear bar. The result is a decrease of oversteer. If the JDM w/stock front is a bit too much oversteer than our FSB will give you a more neutral feel. If not, upgrade your rear to a solid bar. (Remember the mounting brackets if you get a solid rear bar.) I hope that helps. So if i get JDM RSB i can reuse the stock bracket since it's hollow? Even if you don't go for a stiffer RSB, it wouldn't hurt to get the AVO reinforcement brackets. For less than $100 , it's pretty good insurance against snapping your RSB mounting brackets/tabs. Of course, it also depends what you're going to use the car for. So if i get JDM RSB i can reuse the stock bracket since it's hollow? Correct. The JDM bar includes bar/bushings. It is mild enough that the stock mounting brackets are OK. Bid solid bars may crack stock brackets so these are required for insurance against broken brackets: http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-49187380673845_1986_36474113 Linky: http://www.rallitek.com/avorestmore.html Thank you, Sean S. http://www.RalliTEK.com
