RobCatron
I searched and didn't find anywhere. This sketch was showed by Subaru on 11/5 at the South Florida International Auto Show. Seems the vehicle is not going to be called the Tribeca, but the B9X. From what some engineers that recently visited the plant from my plant describe to me, the sketch if fairly accurate, especially the front end. It is going to premier at the January Detroit Auto Show Rob
eatV8
It is actually B9X and is believed to be a code name only. It's real name is the Tribeca. More info can be seen on www.subaru.com

The code name is 00X - and in fact, in the www.subaru.com news brief it states: "...Subaru has named this vehicle the B9X" Rob
eatV8
I'm not 100% sure whats going on. Subaru website does say that, but I have read in other places that B9X was the codename and Tribeca was still to be the vehicle name. Anyways... The sketch doesnt look too bad. Between it and the spy pics of it that were floating around a while back it looks like it will be something in shape like the VW Touareg and Chysler Pacifica (somewhere between the two)
c_hunter
Nah, B9X is the real name, it's clearly stated in their press release. Craig
IwannaSportSedan
Too goofy looking. Does Subaru realize they are 3-5 years too late for the "jelly bean" look? If this is Subaru's new corporate look, then the current legacy is the top of the style moutain, and they've already started down the other side. on skis. looks like an 05 or 06 Legacy GT or STi is going to be the only one I'll consider, considering that proposal. gurpman
Does anyone remember talk on this board about "big boy"? An enthusiast on this board was going to buy a GT, but an insider told him to hold onto his money for "big boy" which was going to be announced near the end of this year and would blow away the GT. Could the B9X be "big boy"? If so, then maybe this thing is going to have an H6 turbo option with power galore.
IwannaSportSedan
Here's hoping "big boy" is a Legacy variant, not a SUV. That would just be wrong for a company like Subaru, which has bucked the SUV trend so far, to do a 180 like that. Plus I don't care how much horsepower it has if it looks like the illustration above. The only reason I would care would be for a powerplant transplant into a Legacy.

Here's to hoping it finds its way into a version of the Legacy.
