Recommended Posts

has anyone else dyno'd an NA AUTOMATIC? just wondering. for the price i'm paying for this dyno time, i couldn't say no. my baby's all stock, just a K&N filter, and just had the 90k maintenance done. i'll post the slips saturday.

well... i dont drive a 5EAT. but here's the results from my 5sp 2.5i. pls keep in mind that i have the 2005 pzero emissions engine. so my results should be lower than yours.

bad news ; ( lol i had directions to the shop, went there, and they were lights-out-doors-locked-parking-lot-empty closed. aparenty they have another location where they have the dyno . . . so i will be rescheduling . . .

and yep, its got 93k on the odo. i bought it a month ago with 90k. the price was too good to pass up. i was actually shopping for a 00-04 5 speed, but this car is soooooo much prettier(and newer) IMHO and for the same price, cheaper even!!!

Got my car dynoed not that long ago...

Granted, its not a legacy, nor is it automatic, nor is it stock, but its a EJ25 and on the same kind of dyno as aldouse's dyno so it gives you an idea of what you might see with more mods:

You can read more about what i've actually done with the car here:

i read your thread, good job!!!

i'm wondering what an aftermarket exhaust will do for my car, since its already got dual exhaust. what i'm REALLY thinking about is getting some headers for my car and KEEPING the stock exhaust, since it does have the dual exhaust, and i wonder if and how much the headers will help with the stock exhaust??

  • 2 weeks later...

yea.. bump for an update.. i'm curious on what gains you have on yours and how much of a performance difference the pzero emissions engine vs the (u)lev engine makes..

oh yea, ALDOUSE, could u notice a difference with the lightweight crank pully?

well key differences noticed:

- driving on a hot sunny day w/ the AC on and trying to accelerate is bad... i accelerate first then switch the AC on to maximize the power distribution on the car... but dont even bother trying to pull on anyone or pass anyone on the road while driving uphill w/ the AC on....

- car accelerates and decelerates at a faster rate.

i consider the mod worth it esp. since i do a lot of spirited mountain driving.

i'm rescheduling with a friend of mine who didn't make the dyno day either, only he's got a 500+ WHP STI : )

soon as i get it done, i'll let ya'll know.

also planning on doin the e-bay intake mod and headers and probably pully, just tryin to get a baseline. i'm curious to see how much (or how little) power is acutally added
