Put my new rims on, critique please (56K... just "don't")

Greetings Soob People... I finally broke down and put my "Go Zigens" on. They are the Sports Engine 3000 model in hyper-black. They are 18's, even tho they look a little 17-ish in the pics. Truthfully, after I put the first two on I took a step back and was a little shocked at how they looked. My first thought was "OMG, WTH did I do? I think I may have over-blinged."

After putting the other two on and having a couple of smokes and taking another look at them they really grew on me. It changes the whole appearance of the car.

Sooo - I am looking for two things here:

1) Honestly, do you think I have gone overbling, or do you think they are bad-ass? Or perhaps do you think that they are not overblingin', but they walk right up to the line and spit across it. Do comment please.

2) I am going to drop the ride. I just made arrangements to pick up some Tien S-Techs which will drop me 1.5" - now.. that is the abso-limit to where I planned to drop, and I am still up in the air. I may, or may not 'stick with them'. I am still considering a set of the STi 'pinks'. Honest opinions wanted - would you continue to forge ahead with an inch-and-a-half drop, or go with a set of pinks? The pic shows stock wheels, and my 18's are just a smigin larger than the stocks... so those wheels are going to be 'tucked up in there' if I go with the Tiens...

Here is my ride, all "Go-Zigen'd" up (5-Zigen if you wanna be a 'USAan')

Now, I did a little searchin' and found some example pics of cars on different springs, and Amy sent me a pic of her car on the Tien S-Techs...

Here is a ride on S-Techs (Amy's ride, hope she doesn't mind me sharing her pics)

Here is a car on pinks:

AFTER Pinks:

So, answer me these q's honestly if you will. I appreciate it... and I know 'honesty' is not an issue 'round these parts - people seem to have NO issues speaking their minds! ;)

Thanks,

Drew

rims look good but i bet id look better w/ a slight drop.

i cant for the life of me decide which springs to get, i dont want a harsh ride and dont want an extreme drop.

so far im leaning toward the htech or the cobbs....

finally a legacy on my future rims, look awsome man, i just cant decide between the hyper black and hyper silver, seen the hyper blacks they might be a bit too dark for me

What color car they going on, eh?

I couldn't see anything other than black or black chrome (or "Hyperblack" whatever the heck paint 5Z uses) for me. I mean, I am right at bling's front door here (IMHO), chrome or anything more flashy would require me to be runnin DUBs mang.

Winnepeg, dang. Your winters suck worse than ours. Keep'm stockers for 'winter beaters' and throw some Hakkas on'm. "Save the bling".

Thanks for all of the comments so far.

Cobb Springs FTW!

I have my cobb springs and sways sitting in my bedroom, waiting to install

From what I hear, the H techs create a sagged look and the Cobbs drop the front for a more aggressive look. I have seen both in person, and I think the Cobbs are the way to go. They are made specifically for your stock struts. Same spring rate means it wont be harsh. On a stock Legacy, ever notice how the front end sits too high? Thats why Cobb made the front drop lower. It evens out the mismatch of the stock springs. 1.5" drop in the front, and 1.0" drop the back. Pictures of the Cobb springs mounted do not do the springs justice. Shadowing and lighting makes the back end look like its too high. In person, the drop looks perfect IMHO.

Wheels look great! The combination with the machined rim really seems to work. I have my winter rims on my 07 SpecB, and the gunmetal look without the rim machined is too dark!

I'm tossed on springs as well, either Cobb, Pinks or Swifts.

What size were the wheels??

I think those rims look great. I'm not sure what size tire you're running, but with 18s, I'd go more by the spec. B comparison than the stock 17s. It doesn't take much drop to make a big visual difference on these cars.
Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!

Like the wheels, and yeah that thing needs a drop haha. Speaking of which I will be dropping off the springs tmw morning for you. Hope the work out for you, I actually miss the way the car felt on them. The H-techs feel a bit sloppy to me after having the S-techs first, but I wanted wider tires so H-techs it is.

The wheels are just right, because if the spokes were more chrome, it would look bad. The S-tech drop looks really nice but im not too sure how it would ride. Great choice on the wheels though.
