Cobb AP experts please help!!!

Recommended Posts

when I talked to the Cobb techs, this is what they told me.

Since I failed to update the firmware during the update, they said that my AP would have defected data on the AP, which was then partially transferred to my ECU, which means that only broken data is there, and that's why my car won't start.

How do I find out if it recognizes the ECU or not?

if it does that means the bootloader is still there and you can initialize communications, and possibly reflash another map on there....

if it doesnt.... then the ecu cant communicate with anything and needs a benchflash.....

when i had mine benchflashed the bad rom was still on there but the correct bootloader was put back which allowed me to reflash to a known good map.... i use opensource tools (free tuning FTW!!!)

so that's where the DIY stg.1 comes in I guess...

cuz right now I have no idea what you just said bro. haha..

anyway, since my car is already screwed up, I'll try to connect my laptop to my ecu

I hope you can actually walk me through this, so I don't screw it up even more.

thanks for everything so far.
