This sucks arse I am bummed, pissed, and just tired of this whole car buying thing! No wonder you're hanging around pre-purchase! Sorry to hear you were jacked! I think you can get invoice minus the $750. That should be without the $750 rebate. I think the $750 rebate isn't compatible with the 3.9%/48 mo. financing incentive; at the rate that I plan to pay it off the 3.9% financing is worth a little more(by only like $100) compaired to the rate my bank will give me. After I negotiated a good price on the new 07, they kept lowballing me on my trade in, insisting that they where diong me a favor @ $18.5K when I knew they could goto $19.7K; after they insisted 18.5 was the best they could do I walked out and told the salesguy to call me if they changed their mind; fast forward about 5 hours and they try to get me back in there with $19K, I didn't feel like wasting my time. That was Saturday, on Monday morning I called Kelly over at Steward Subaru in Yakima and ended up deciding to make a day trip over there. After I got there and test drove it they offered me my WRX + $200 for the LGT($19.9K), I agreed; no BS no games, took about 5 minutes. I'm sure someone will say I should have held out for a better price, but I don't really care because they 1. treated me like an adult, 2. didn't make me wait around for anything and 3. answered all my questions about the LGT quickly and completly. Your all aware of the first one I tried to buy and it being sold out under me because my salesman was a dumbarse lazy bum... Another dealer had the SE version of the car I bought on their lot...and dinked around for over an hour maybe more on my trade...had a good price...not a great price but just jacking me around on my trade. Giving me only 12,200 for my 05 Legacy 2.5i w/only 26K miles The third dealer calls me at the dealership...he's been busting his arse to find me a limited. Called like 6 dealerships...after an setting up a dealer trade for this car for me he calls with a better price on the Limited than what I was shot on the SE! I stop by he did low ball me on the trade some...I told him what I wanted. I had to leave...he calls me in 10 minutes within a few hundred of what I wanted and with the smokin deal he is selling the new car for it was more than a wash. Good follow-up and a pleasant person goes a long way in my book...also a very good sales manager that wasn't into games. Spent about 15 minutes on that purchase probably! Sponge Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 Thanks I got almost what I wanted...I wanted DGM but getting NPB which is fine too No GT...not available unless I wanted to fly somewhere. Besides this is my commuter car and driving the turbo in stop go would kill my gas mileage...buying the wife a car too so keeping that extra $ is nice...and I would just go nuts with mods and I have Jeep for that already + bikes so no need for a 3rd money pit I'll throw up pics when I get it...
