hey all,

Here's some pics of my amp rack:

I still need to tidy up the wire runs etc and also work on the boot(trunk) trim but this gives you an idea.

The pics don't /can't show but when looking at the amp in person - you can't tell how its mounted! Its a true floating rack - no pedestal here!

what did you do w/ that sub cutout int he shelf? Is that left open or do you have something there?

 

I removed the sub, sound damped around it, stuck the grill back on it and left it open. My theory was for hot air from the boot/trunk to escape into the cabin. I live in Perth our summers can get pretty hot!

looks nice; that method also provides for better cooling for the amp, more air flow over the amp surface area.....

 

Thanks, cooling for the amp was one of the things i considered, there's plenty of air flow all around the amp!
