I found an awsome deal on tirerack.com for a set of 18"x8" SSR GT2's +51mm at a closeout price of only $299 a rims. They normally go for $469 a rim. They only weigh 16lbs. The tires are 245/35/18 Kumho ecsta V710 R-comps. that make the overall wheel and tire combo less than 40lbs.

I thought the 18x8 GT2s were like 17 lbs? Cuz I remember the 18x8.5 was closer to 18 lbs

I could be wrong, I dont follow the GT2s and GT7s all that much.. Still a good deal.

what class are you running using 18x8 with a 245??? You should have gone with a 18x8.5 SSR comp if you could find them for cheap and run a 275/35/18

This year Im putting a set of 225/35/17 Falken fk-452s on my 17x7.5 SSR comps = total weight is just at 30.8 lbs.

tirerack said 16lbs so i take their word for it. I run in ESP. I didnt want to go wider than 245 or id have to roll my fenders and i dont want to do that just yet.

hmmm, I would like to co-drive your stage 2 autox-beast, I want to see how much different that e-tune makes.. ;)

Im still having problems putting that inside tire down.. I need stiffer springs and shocks.. anything to stay away from dealing with modding or changing the front diff.. I want keep my GT as an STU car.

I wonder how much faster your V710s will be.. lemme know the next event that you sign up. I'll run in ESP using my stuff.. so that way, it's better off-comparing the two times that we have on the same course.

well, ill be running every single event on the schedual. Pick any one and ill be there. the ssr gt2s were actually listed under 06 outback Xt on tirerack. they are still there if you search using that criteria. For some reason ther arent listed if you search using legacy or impreza searches.
