nendo
would my ap racing 4pots on my wrx work on the gt? i still have them sitting in a box and havent tried test fitting them yet. i got them from agroup buy on nasioc board last year, they r quite lightweight and the rotor is the same size as the gt rotor.. they worked pretty well on the wrx and they were small enough that they could be fit under stock 16 wrx wheels, so clearence wouldnt be a problem
apexjapan
I'm not sure that they'd be direct bolt-up - the Legacy GT has a larger front rotor than the WRX, but smaller than the STi. Brackets are necessary here in Japan, we are working on one ourselves for a caliper w/STi 330mm rotor big brake combination. A pair of brackets shouldn't be too expensive if you do need them, though. Xenonk
dont forget thickness too.. unless you have some kind of full AP Racing brake kit that included the rotor, brackets, and caliper with ss lines.. I would say DO IT! and give it a test fit. Keefe Keefe
nendo
yah its a full kis, slotted rotors, bracket, calipers,, gonna prob test fit them within a week
Xenonk
it's just the front kit right? Well, I know the rear is different in diameters due to the e-brake drum setup.. that's why I am waiting on Endless to finish up with their FULL front and rear kit. nendo
yeah just a front kit,, gonna try to fit it next week,, they arnt huge brakes but they r an improvement, and they r very light, i lost 8 pounds on each side on my wrx
Xenonk
good luck on the fitment.. let us know how it goes... check for wheel clearance too! Keefe Keefe
nendo
i highly doubt clearance would be an issue as they fit under my wrx with much room to spare... im just worried bout the bracket! prob gonna have to be modified,, yuck
Xenonk
that's what we are all worried about.. I assume the SSRs have plenty of caliper clearance. Keefe Keefe
GTBGUY
nendo - Are you referring to the iON Performance/AP Racing set-up? If so, it should work. Both F&R BBK's would work; you could also run some 16" wheels then!
