zadok
I did a lot of searches to try to find parts to upgrade my own brakes, with little to no results. This time it was all provoked by my cousin buying a 97 Gt from Jersey and his brakes being completely shot and needing to be replaced. So, I'm trying to find a brake upgrade that will fit these years GT's, for his and mine.I'm looking to replace everything, front and rear.I've read about a couple of people taking about WRX brake swaps, but nothing certain or completed.Anybody do this or have a definite answer? rougeben83
Ugh, yeah, I have WRX front brakes on mine; put it on this summer. You can also upgrade to the "4pots" which use the stock wrx front rotor with 4 pot calipers, you can also use the 05+ LGT front brakes (12.5" rotors, bigger 2piston caliper). Don't forget good pads and fluid, and if you want, stainless braided lines.
SLegacy99
The Legacy was the first car of its kind to offer dual piston brake calipers ~ FYI
Flanders
Just about any upgrade for WRX, RS and BE/BH will work. Many others to. I am selling my usedc front brake setup. It is an upgrade from what you have. Front calipers from my 00 GT. Carbotech Bobcat brake pads and Power Slot cryo'd rotors. The calipers are a little rusty but fine and the pads and rotors have plenty of life left. PM me if interested.
