I am not sure which color to get on my Black GT. Decisions, decisions, decisions.. (I didnt post Gunmetal color rims because I already have 2 sets of gunmetal rims at home for the GT). I am planning to cram in some 255/35/18 Toyo T1-Ss   on these rims for the daily drive to work.. if not, a set of 245/35/18  The 255 work better in terms of matching the stock diameter sizing. Oh yea, the 255 wont rub either ;) These are one of the few wheels that are 18x8 with such a high offset. I like the clean look, but this is America, so let's all vote! Keefe
Gold is gross on any car with very few exceptions., I don't know why Subaru fanatics seem to love it so much.
Because the WRC Subarus have gold wheels, it seems to be a Subaru trademark and a very strong symbol. I voted for Gold for the Rota SDR wheel.
Gold on black would be nice, imo. Are these wheels really lightweight as well?
I believe they are 16.9 lbs for 18x8.. and the Toyo T1-S for 255/35/18 are 23.8 lbs and the 245/35/18 are 22.9 lbs.. so given at stock at ~43 lbs, the two rim/tire combos are: 255/35/18 + rim = 40.7 lbs. 245/35/18 + rim = 39.8 lbs. The rim shouldnt more than 18 lbs (these are 2-piece forged rims). Even if it is 18 lbs, my weights are 41.8 lbs and 40.9 lbs respectively, and I would be pretty close to the stock moment calculations, if not a bit over it.. so it's not going to hurt the ride too much just for daily driving. Not a big deal just voicing my opinion.

well, silver seems to be winning right now.. I thought of getting silver to match whatever chromish/silverish parts left on the car (like the headlight reflectors and side mirror blinkers, exhuast tips, etc). The gold would really make it more Subaru-performance oriented.. but somehow, something tells me that the silver is more fit on the car.. either way, I dont care cuz I am driving the car.. this is the eye-candy portion for the public to see.. so cast your votes people! the rims have such a big offset for what it is.. and 255s would work fine since I am now using coilovers.. the spring perches are a lot smaller than what it was from stock. It should be perfectly fine.. 245/35/18 on a 8" wide rim is fine for this car.. no rubbing issues that I can think of.. still, 245s would definitely look really mean as it is.. just imagine a 255. If I can cram in a 7.5" 40mm offset rim on the car with "wide" 225s without rubbing, I am sure the 255s on 8" 51mm offset should be fine.. I can just be on the safe side and run a 245  :p the 245/35/18 are very close to stock overall tire diameter. 255/35/18 is closer to what I run on the 225/40/18.. Keefe

Keefe the style is awesome! :p Just a quick question. I plan on getting those rims when I get my car in gold, and I'm wondering if the wheels will be able to fit Brembo calipers or something like that if they ever come out with an application. I know many people like Kevin (gtguy) are against things like that, and I'm doing it partly for show, but I'm curious anyways.

first off get your initial ipression of which u like more..... its a nice wheel and both choices r good.. for me i would take silver, it would appear more subtle to me.. but seeing u have many decals on your car i think gold might match it more.. good luck

I know many people like Kevin (gtguy) are against things like that, and I'm doing it partly for show, but I'm curious anyways.
Screw Brembo! :p I am actually working towards a set of 6-pot Front and 4-pot Rear Endless Big Brake Kits (depending on what class I want to run in or what I want to do with the car in general.. ie: occasional track car or an SCCA Solo2 ESP car).. I might have to get rid of all my 17" rims and tires and just use 18" from now on with a Big Brake Kit (assuming a 330mm rotor kit right now).. it's not going to be that much more from the stock rotor sizing (12.3" vs 13.0") but the calipers will be a factor.. but from the looks of it, these rims will clear the calipers.. I'll confirm it later in the week as the rims are arriving today and the tires (255/35/18 Toyo T1-S) will be mounted tomorrow.. so I should have it sometime on the car on Wednesday or Thursday night. Btw, decals are coming off as the racing season is coming to a close.. Keefe
