skiibumm
my highbeams turn on automatically, they are xenons. i had the same kit in my truck and didn't have a problem at all. i've played around with the wiring and still no luck they still turn on. can subarus wiring handle xenons? they should since xenons only put out 35w

Spec B
So you have HID high beams? Or you have HID's and the highbeams (non HID) turn on sporadically?

skiibumm
no, i live in salt lake. the highbeams are just bulbs no projector or reflector.
IwannaSportSedan
High beams definitely have a reflector. Not a parabolic one, and not a projector inversion lens. D2S bulbs are intended for projector housings D2R bulbs are intended for reflector housings, like the 04-05 STI low beam, or other HIDS that use a wide reflector, and no glass hemispherical lens in front of it.
