LGT Dave Posted November 3, 2006 Share Posted November 3, 2006 That is the reverse-lockout ring. That ring has to be lifted up in order to put the car into reverse. It is a mechanism so that the car can't accidentally be thrown into reverse when shifting to 6th gear. Not really sure why you would want it if you don't already have it...
