edkwon
245/40/18 Ftw That sounds like a recipie for fender rub, plus isnt that extra rotational mass and unsprung weight? prolly hurt my accel some. I'd rather have a balance between power and grip and not max out on my grip. Ed
Xenonk
I say it's ok! btw, it's Keefe. Keefe
Xenonk
245/40/18 Ftw ummm, it's a bit too big, even for my coilover setup.. I did an Azenis RT-615s in 245/40/18 on 18x8 +50 SSR GT7s on Zeals.. not much room for them (I have a whole thread on that fitment as well). It's doable, but on custom suspension work. CreoSTi
Just wondering if i should go for 225/40/18 tyres vs 235/40/18 Ed, I'd go with 235/40/18 for the extra width and slightly better curb protection for your wheels. If you want to see how a 235/40/18 fits on an 18x8" wheel (albeit a +46mm offset), just let me know. I want to check out your '07 spec.B too... -Mike-
Xenonk
235/40/18 with a 18x8.5 is fine.. doing a 245/35/18 on a 18x8 is perfect IMO Keefe

PGT
235/40/18 with a 18x8.5 is fine.. doing a 245/35/18 on a 18x8 is perfect IMO except the man has a Spec B and taller rubber than the std. LGT.
dvdt
235/40/18 with a 18x8.5 is fine.. doing a 245/35/18 on a 18x8 is perfect IMO Yes 245/35/18 on 18x8 Rotas is fine. That's my current setup (w/ swift springs) and I never had rubbing issues. Just take off that black trim on the inside of the rear wheel fender well. Claw
I've got 235/40/18 on 18x8 PFF7s. No rubbage, but I'm not lowered either.
ChruiSSer
Check my pics. I have 245/40/18's on 18X8 Rota's. I BARELY rub. Only at full steering lock or when I go over the overpass's on the highway. Granted it's NJ. I AM LOWERED on S-techs. If I had H-techs, or something not as low I wouldn't rub. The S-techs are probably the lowest out there, so as long as you don't use them you shouldn't have a prob. Check the pics! Also, I did have to roll the fenders. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74/chruisser/Picture008.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74/chruisser/Picture007.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74/chruisser/Picture006.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74/chruisser/Picture004.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74/chruisser/Picture003.jpg

ChruiSSer
Thanks man. Yea I'm back on the stock wheels and re92's until Nov. when i'll throw the blizzaks on, but this car handle's half as good as it did. I'm throwing the stock springs on for the winter also, and I'm not sure what to go with in the spring...
