AWD_Rules3830
well i decided to up the pressure in my RE92 to 37-35, the car feels ... different .... it seems to beable to take turns faster, ride quality is alittle worse but i can deal. The car just handles more solidly. Should i be concerned with the upped pressure and the RE92 general crappyness. I love my car ... basically. MilesA
You are probably making the ride harsher without a real handling improvement. I mean, there is a subjective change, but I am not sure you are really faster through the turns.
jerami1981
nope, ypur fine, i ahve heard of people runnigmn 39-37 for their cars to increase handling..so dont worry about it, just watch it to make sure with temp changces the pressure doesnt get too far out of whack

rougeben83
Upping tire pressures general compensates for sidewall flex on the tire, so the car feels more "crisp" when you turn in...which is what makes for a lot of "good handling" impressions. It's the same effect with lowering/stiffer springs but to a lesser extent. If you go too high, you'll get uneven treadwear (crowning), harsher ride and reduced traction (as the tire needs to give a little bit to "bite" into the road surface). I've run my 17"s up to 42 to 45 psi on autocross courses so it's not a big problem in terms of having the tire pop or something like that (as long as you stay below the "max psi" you're fine). 37-35...you'll be perfectly fine. AWD_Rules3830
the car rides a bit harsher but its a small sacrifice to make because the car definitly handles better. I love my car ... basically.
