Legacy2.5R
Does anyone know what kind of back-pressure issues i would have if i were to install the Greddy EVO 2 catback on my 05' 2.5i due to large piping? it shouldent interfere with O2 sensors should it? aldouse
i've always wondered myself... sorry i didn't have the $$ to try it out myself. -- yay for the sig! -- my garage!
trohler
Is that full 3in catback? If yes your gonna lose a lot of low end torque. I had the borla on my car for a while, its only 2.5in, and i could feel it pulled a little better up high but lost a lot down low. 07 Impreza 2.5i Special Edition 07 Kawasaki Ninja

whitetiger
you still have cats and stock headers. they should be giving you all the back preasure you need.
SeattleLegacy
i've heard that 3" piping is too much for the N/A. it has something to do with the exhaust flow. IIRC, the larger piping slows the exhaust flow too much. the result might be the loss of low end torque that white tiger was talking about. (did a search couldn't find it)
ebpda9
3" is too large, but then again i have a 2.5" cat-back exhaust on my integra. didn't notice any loss of low end torque (maybe because it had no torque to start with)
MDW25gt
Is that full 3in catback? If yes your gonna lose a lot of low end torque. I had the borla on my car for a while, its only 2.5in, and i could feel it pulled a little better up high but lost a lot down low. I think that is a myth. Show me the dyno chart that sproves the loss of low end with a free flowing exhaust? Free flowing is better! You may loose something due to other things being out of sync with the better flowing exhaust, but if you get the balance right the engine will pull harder thru the rev range. I am open to data that indicates otherwise! Mike
trohler
Well i was just speaking of my experience with the Borla GT exhaust on my car. Felt like a dog under 3000rpm, put the factory catback back on and could instantly tell the difference in the lower part of the rev band. 07 Impreza 2.5i Special Edition 07 Kawasaki Ninja
