I just think it flows a bit better with the lines of the car... Unless, of course, you want a more aggressive looking spoiler. I want one before I even buy the car, so that it can be installed on day one. Not going to happen, but that is how much I like that spoiler. I find that hard to believe. I can see maybe a front or rear bumper from japan b/c they ARE in fact different, but what makes the trunk of a JDM and USDM car soooooo different that it just will not fit right? Look at the other people on this post that actually do have both of them....they look like they fit just fine, but i didnt ask if they had any problems but i would think that they would have said something!
