Workinearly
Hey, I have the TMIC off of a Chevy Sprint Turbo in my garage, it's about the size of a pack of Camels. I have the cool chrome inlet pipe as well. Anyone want to trade a new Cobb AP for it? I'd also consider taking a full exhaust system and a set of BBS wheeels along with some cash for it. Whitestar Pilot
The Trans Am was turbo'ed both in the early eighties (with the 4.9) and with that GNX powered GTA in the late eighties (with the 3.8 V-6). I think a few turbo 3.1 V-6 Grand Prix's were made back in the day also, IIRC. Oh yeah, my brother in law had a 1988 Turbo Sunbird. Jesse You beat me to it. A good rundown of turbocharged Pontiacs there. Here's an ad for the '89 Turbo Trans Am, the FASTEST CAR BUILT BY GM IN THE 80's. http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/brochures/1989Firebird/89TurboTA_Ad.jpg -- http://www.carmotorsports.com/images/Cloisonne-Emblems/Turbo-Trans-Am-Set-lg.jpg

93formula
My friends had a TTA with 1200 mi (back in 2003) on it and we drove it before it was sold to a museum. We "legally" raced it with a 03 Z06 and the Z06 won, but not by nearly as much as you would think (about 5-6 cars from a stop and from a roll only a car or 2 from 50 to 120ish). If a TTA is brake boosted, its a soild low 13 sec car.
