itzed
There are enough posts about stinking clutch linings, hard shifting, and slipping discs that it makes you wonder how durable these clutches are. I typically go well into the hundreds of thousands of miles on a clutch, and in fact - only replaced one in all my ownership (1995 Jetta @140K). I've sold two cars with over 200K on their original clutch (Scirocco & Civic). So who here has the most miles on their 2005/2006 Legacy clutch without problems? I would hope to see a couple 2005's with maybe at least 50K without issues by now.
karamba
I have 60K right now with no problems so far.
mccorry
I have 40K miles right now.... no slipping.. .but I have had a very high engagement point for the past 10K miles.... I dunno... it might be normal. The car hooks up and goes well.
mustangendsley
I had a bad trany and I only had 26,500 miles. Subaru replaced trany under warenty. My shift is much better, I have the 5 speed.

rodan
43k, no problems, but an MTS clutch setup is going in next week. I've never liked the factory clutch (neither has my wife), and I'm also doing the groundwork for a turbo swap...

jond_68
12,000 no problems I also had a 2002 LGT that supposedly had similar clutch issues, but i put on 120,000 miles on the clutch and it was running fine when I traded on the Spec.b
andrew_j
You will eventually see LGT owners with 200k+ on the original clutch. How'd they do it? Well if you drive pure highway with little stop/go no problem. You will also see clutches with 2000 miles ruined by a new clutch driver who hasn't got a clue. So clutches last 10 miles -infininte miles depandant on driver skill and driving conditions(% city vs % highway).
MDTURBO
it was about 23k before I HAD to change to a better clutch. I drag race it. 2012 Forester XT. Stage 2+ Retired from Racing. I used to build FMIC and more.
