wcbjr
Ok, why in the heck in the voltage on the dimmer backwards from what you would normally think? I have a boost gauge installed now, and it is tapped into the Orange wire (dimmer, not illumination) going into the head unit. When I dim the dash, the gauge gets more voltage and becomes brighter. Now this isn't really a problem since I set it at medium anyways, so the gauge will match. But what the hell?! I forgot what I was supposed to remember. driggity
If this is like it is on the Imprezas (and I believe it is) Subaru controls the dimmer by changing the "ground" voltage. As you dim the gauges the ground voltage increases and your high to low differential decreases. I think that there is a post on scoobymods about making a simple inverter circuit to fix this. GTINNH
I found this link, it should help ScoobyMods - Dim Omori Elect. Gauges with OEM dimmer switch
GTINNH
Does anyone know where to find the Illumination (+) and the Illumination (-) wires? I have a Omori boost gauge comming in a couple of days and would like to do this when I install it.
