SubLo
Yea yea. I know I'm gonna get lashed for this one too. But I've seen people go from OEM Spec B 18's to aftermarket products. I haven't seen any that look better on the car then the stockers. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
LowFast
Tend to agree, so far. I like to OEM look of the stock spec-b rims, just wish they were 1" wider. Although I have found a shop that will widen them for me, they do reallly nice work (have seen the work on OEM ford Lightning Rims) but it will cost you about $200 per rim. PGT
better than this? http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y124/PatagonianGT/DSCN3247.jpg I hear an echo, an echo.......
PGT
sorry, but anything Prodrive works for me. Stock like fitment, but better sizing to offer performance upgrades. 18x7 is just plain silly. at least do these: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15484&d=1141729328 http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e18/gead/lib013.jpg

LowFast
The prodrive wheels look great but, correct me if I am wrong, cost a hell of a lot more than keeping the stockers. If I did switch from the stock spec-b rims prodrives would be the next best thing.
hovied
Uummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I like my VOLK's better on my spec b. I got rid of those spec b rims withen a month of ownership. Spec b rims are nice but they are far from sexy! ______________ tHe HoV

LowFast
^ are those Prodrives or STI rims? What size are they, how much do they weigh, and most important what do they cost?
PGT
STi wheels. 18x7.5 ET53 and 16.5lbs. Cost? About $400 each. Either silver as pictured or anthracite.
CreoSTi
18x7 is just plain silly. +1 And they're quite heavy. -Mike-

PGT
Japan. Shipping and import duty would be more.
LowFast
So really you are looking at $500-600 each? No thanks, that is volk territory. I do agree that the prodrives are a nice alternative, but they are quite heavy also.
PGT
Who do you think makes STi wheels? Rays or Enkei. Those particular wheels I posted are made by Enkei. Prodrive's are made by OZ, Speedline or Rays. Prodrive's GC series are lightweight. BTW - Street price on the STi wheels is about $1800-1900/shipped. Jdmpartstx.com had a set recently. I should have bought them. Guest
STi wheels. 18x7.5 ET53 and 16.5lbs. Cost? About $400 each. Either silver as pictured or anthracite. I doubt these weigh only 16.5 lbs. Actually look like heavy suckers. These are cast wheels. Also they are made by Enkei. I can't find the source now but while jdmpartstx had them, I was googling the issue. PGT
Perhaps you missed where I said they were made by Enkei (as are the new STI Limited wheels as an upgrade to the BBS). JDMPartsTX is local to me and I asked the question about shipping vs. local pickup. Another vendor (DarkWatch in OZ) confirmed the weight. Cast can be light and not all cast wheels are the same. Expensive cast wheels > cheap forged ones.
