devobuzz
My question is - does the extension raise the armrest pad (ie is it higher) or does it just move the armrest forward?

devobuzz
About how much higher does it sit? An inch or two? Can I shim the stock armrest to raise it up higher?
DSattler
No, I don't think you can shim the stock armrest and get much height. The extended armrest has a completely different hinge set up. I really like mine.
SBT
This wasn't included in the other post so I'll ask it here. For those who have the STI Short Shift Kit, how does the SSK and the raised arm rest work together? Does the SSK lower the shifter too far to be comfortable for the arm while it's resting on the extension? What about the top of the stock shifter relative to the extension - how does this match up? Thanks in advance. SBT - Pro amore Dei et patriam et populum -

It does not shorten the actual shift lever, it just shortens the shift throws. -Nick
