Ford Australia also have a hot version of the XR6 Turbo it's called a Typhoon or F6. These are rear wheel drive and run a 4 litre in-line 6 cylinder with strengthened internals (pistons, conrods), DOHC, Garret Turbo, big front mount intercooler, Brembo Brakes, 19 inch wheels and either 6 speed Manual or ZF 6 Speed Auto.

Not sure the power conversion figures but it makes 270 Kw and 550 Nm of torque. And this is a standard car you can buy from the Ford showroom here in Australia.

There are guys here with these Typhoons and with basic bolt on mods, they make 350 Kw plus, and 720 Nm torque, and will light up the rear tyres in 3rd gear.

Now why the HELL won't FMC bring this to the states just like GM did with the supposed GTO built in Aus.? This looks like a car that would actually sell like hotcakes. Man that car looks wicked!

What is 73880 RRP? How much is that US? Maybe I should check the exchange rate.

It's $57000. That seems like a lot for a Ford, even one with 6 pot Brembos, tons of torque, and "suede feel" bolsters.

not many people paying full RRP, with some negotiating with the dealer you can get them for around $65,000 AU on the road.

Plenty of Australians love their Fords or Holdens (GM) and are willing to pay for these type of cars.

I had a test drive of a Ford Typhoon the other day and they are very fast, I kept the traction control on and was to scared to turn it off.
