see_obxt Posted April 30, 2006 Share Posted April 30, 2006 If it were me, I'd just use the winch on my jeep, as I have in the past. Got friends with a jeep? If I were to use my OB, Here's what I'd do. If using just rope, get a good deal of it and wrap it several times around the base of the shrub, in the middle of the rope. Bring the two ends even 10 yards or so away from the shrub. Connect to the tow point . This will give you twice the strength of the rope. Connect both ends of the rope to the rear center tow point under the rear of the car. I'd rather use a tow strap and a D-ring. Place a towel or blanket on the center of the rope, for reasons I stated above. Start the car, first gear and pull till taught. Pull slow. Make sure the rope/strap is not coming off the shrub.
