DAVES XTOUTBK
Just took my 05XT in for 15000 mile service yesterday and they gave me an 06 Legacy for the loaner. It was weird having to stomp on it to get it going but man did it soak up the bumps. Up here in Rochester NY, every joint on the road has repair work on it with built up asphalt patching. The new 06's suspension was so settled over them and took the corners pretty flat. What goes that significantly between 8000 miles and my 17,000? Is it the shocks, springs, bushings???? dave
forestir
It could be the fact that it's a Legacy. Even brand new, the XT has a softer, less composed ride than the Legacy. I think the Outback is underdamped.
RochNY91TSI
Another Rochester NY'er... Just curious, where did you take the car for service?
ebpda9
from what i have seen so far the na models have softer suspensions
DAVES XTOUTBK
I've been doing all service at Van Bortel, where I bought the car. As far as the NA vs turbo or Outback vs Legacy, I do think the Outback had tighter suspension response a year ago. Also, why would the XT(read: performance model) have a softer suspension???
