Chiketkd
Some of you might remember my first thread with the results from my initial trip back in mid March: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30805 I went to Richmond Dragway in Sandston, VA for round 2 today! The track is ~100ft above sea level and according to the National Weather Service conditions were as follows: Temp: 55 deg F (at time of 1st run), 60 deg F (at time of my 2nd run) Relative Humidity: 24 % Barometer: 30.14 in. Hg Dewpoint: 20°F (-7°C) My car is 100% bone stock with 6,800 miles on the odometer. I'm running a 'true' factory stock set-up (nothing from the intake, intake resonator, turbo, intercooler, exhaust, engine management, etc has been changed). I used Shell 93 octane gas (had just over a 1/4 tank) and my tire pressures were set at 40psi all around. Only weight reduction I did was remove my spare tire (left jack in the trunk). I weigh 170lbs. I got to the track early and my engine was able to cool for 1.5 hours before my first pass. I made 2 passes and launched at 5,000rpms w/ clutch slip. I'm car #22: Run 1 (I bogged the launch) 60ft: 2.0688 330ft: 5.8446 1/8th: 8.9866 MPH: 79.44 1/4: 13.9679 MPH: 98.53 Run 2 (decent launch) 60ft: 1.9433 330ft: 5.6327 1/8th: 8.7650 MPH: 79.31 1/4: 13.7468 MPH: 98.25 http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/Chiketkd/2006%20Subaru%20WRX%20TR/Richmond%20Dragway%204-9-06/WRXTRTimeslips.jpg Here are a few pics from the day: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/Chiketkd/2006%20Subaru%20WRX%20TR/Richmond%20Dragway%204-9-06/WRXTR01.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/Chiketkd/2006%20Subaru%20WRX%20TR/Richmond%20Dragway%204-9-06/WRXTR02.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/Chiketkd/2006%20Subaru%20WRX%20TR/Richmond%20Dragway%204-9-06/WRXTR05.jpg A Ram SRT-10 that was in the parking lot but never ran: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/Chiketkd/2006%20Subaru%20WRX%20TR/Richmond%20Dragway%204-9-06/WRXTR03RamSRT-10.jpg This was a cool turbo-charged twin rotary RX-7 that competed in NOPI last season and was switching to NHRA this year: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/Chiketkd/2006%20Subaru%20WRX%20TR/Richmond%20Dragway%204-9-06/WRXTR06NOPIRX-7.jpg Cliff Notes: Bone stock '06 WRX TR goes 13.74@98.25 mph

Th3Franz
Is the clutch on the WRX TR better than the LGT clutch? -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
Chiketkd
thats awesome! i really wanted to go, but i ended up in bed all weekend with a 103 degree fever Thanks! Funny you should say that Will - I feel like I'm coming down with something right now. Is the clutch on the WRX TR better than the LGT clutch? I assume it's the same clutch as the '06 WRX now uses a pull stlye clutch like the LGT. My clutch is pretty much brand new so it's not slipping at all. legacy_y_tu
Nice times. Man your intercooler looks really small, or maybe it's just the picture . Edited for crappy spelling
wunderkind
Is it true that just an AP flash (stage I) will yield insignificant results? I read that the new WRX is pretty much maxed out in stock form. Hmm....
Chiketkd
Nice times  Thanks! Nice times. Man you're intercooler looks really small, or maybe it's just the picture . Yup, the stock '06 WRX intercooler is very small. Same as the stock unit on the '04+ FXT. Is it true that just an AP flash (stage I) will yield insignificant results? I read that the new WRX is pretty much maxed out in stock form. Hmm.... That's what I've heard, and seen on a dyno graph that Christian@Cobb posted on Nabisco. I won't be able to use any Cobb products for a while as I'm competing in SCCA D-stock in '06.
f1anatic
Nice...What car did you lose two in the 2nd round...By 4 seconds ?
Chiketkd
Nice...What car did you lose two in the 2nd round...By 4 seconds ? It was a white WS-6 on slicks. Notice on my 2nd and final run my reaction was over two seconds (doesn't affect et). I just ignored the other driver and the tree and focused on my launch. Got a decent 60ft and ran my best et!!! showbo
And what does a 02-05 2.0L WRX pull at that track for best time? 14.4?
Chiketkd
And what does a 02-05 2.0L WRX pull at that track for best time? 14.4? Most decent drivers of stock '02-'05 WRXs are able to go ~14.2-14.5 @ 95-96mph in the 1/4. A few have managed to go 14.0-14.1.
