CombatCQB Posted March 24, 2006 Share Posted March 24, 2006 I was monitoring the A/C compressor to see how often the auto climate control would use it since the A/C indicator is not that helpful. I found that even when it's 35 degrees outside, the A/C will turn on intermittantly even if the desired temp is 71. Can we use data logging to: 1) measure how much throttle lag we have or how the ECU translate pedal movement? 2) capture an instance of the infamous engine surge? FYI - AC cyling is intended to keep the AC compressor lubricated through the colder seasons. This way, it doesn't fail the next summer. Many cars do this these days.
