bhogan414
Here's the deal, I have an 05 LGT with auto climate and 6 disc, my dad has an 05 OB with manual climate and single disc. I am planning on putting nav in soon, and was wondering if I can do a straight swap between the two cars to give him the 6 disc capability since I will no longer be using it. bhogan414
I thought that might be the case. Is it because they have specific control boards, or is it something else I am missing?
wcbjr
The whole climate control and audio system is one integrated piece. I forgot what I was supposed to remember.
jazzymt
Well hold on! There's one way that it might work that nobody's tried yet. You could try taking the CD module out of each radio and swapping them. As far as I know, no one has tried this and I think there's a 50/50 chance it might work. It's kind of a PITA if it doesn't, but hey...if you're willing to try it... bhogan414
I was thinking there may just be a slim chance of it working, I guess the question is if the control unit just sends the raw input to the cd player, the controls should all be the same between the units, as long as it is left up to the cd player to decide what to do with the input.
