anyone removed the star emblem off the back of a wagon? i dont mean debadge it..

anyone have taken off the star badge on the back of a wagon for any reason? i dont plan to debadge it, as that would look messed up, but i plan to mold a back up camera into it, paint it matching the body,and put it back on

 

so..anyone?

It's not screwed in, it's tape just like the front. I had to take it off when I installed my JDM rear waist spoiler. Be careful the badge is plastic and the tape is very strong.

it comes off --- if you remove it, you will be left with two holes to cover up though.

 

(the emblem isnt screwed on, just taped on -- but thier are two plastic pins that hold it in place into the trunk)

hehe, thanks guys...cant wiat to get started...

 

what i want to be doing is, taking the emblem off, drill a whole int eh body, drille a hole in the emblem, and mold the camera into the emblem, paint it silver to match teh car, adn then reglue the emblem back onto the car, so basically. a back up camera spot

 

it will come after the audio part, but i figure i want to get a ehad start on the info haha
