rallynut555
Just got new tires mounted on the car today and the front brakes are not squealing. Brakes are 1 month old Bobcats that have never squealed til today. What should I look for when I inspect the caliper(s)?
edmundu
Did you have the rotor's replaced at the same time? If not, were they cut/resurfaced? Had you already performed the pad bedding-in procedure? Describe the squealing... Metal on metal squeal, or a metal fork on a dinner plate squeal? The pads are ceramic based, and if you have the latter it has to do with bedding into the rotor. If it is the former, then whoever installed them may not have reused the rubber coated shims, or didn't use sufficient anti-squeal paste.
rallynut555
No, kept the old rotors but I did bed in the pads as instructed. I guess the sound is like fork on plate squeal. Still strange that the squeal happened after remounting the tires.
rallynut555
Seems that the new pads are making the sound. Gonna try some anti-squeal paste this weekend.

iyalla
Make sure they didn't over torque the wheel lugs.
