kleggo
A few questions for you if you please. 1) Navigation = great for rental cars when you're in a "strange" city, is it just a fun toy when you're in your local 'hood? 2) What is the map upgrade path for the current Kenwood controller? I'm curious to know how and how often one can input updated map info. 3) Does the Kenwood controller have hardware restrictions that would prevent updating maps? and now for something completly different. 4) What value do you find for the Nav unit if you ar enot actually using it for navigation, i.e., do you have a good understanding of the other features included? If you do, please share, specifically the "change settings for vehicle settings? mode. thanks Craig
Garandman
I use an aftermarket GPS - I drive a lot of different vehicles. I've learned to leave it on because if you hear of a traffic tie up (around here you dial *1 on a Verizon cell phone for traffic) you can select "Detour" and a distance and it will route you around the route you're on. Also, it's great for exploring all the side streets you think must go in the right direction, but have never explored. As another example.
