front spring top hats rotating?

is any one else having trouble with the front spring top hats rotating and causing clunking?

i have to jack my car up an realign the springs and top hats about every 3-4 months any one else?

currently h-techs but had the same proublems with progress

at full extension they (both springs and hats) can be rotated quite easly

 

when it gets mis aligned it get reallllly misaligned thus the clunking

This sounds like exactly what happens when you don't run properly "captive" springs. Your springs don't seem to be properly matched to the shock.

 

The shock at full stretch should hold the spring in tension - quite a bit of tension. If the top hat/spring is rotating, you need to shorten your shock shaft...which is rather difficult when running OEM shocks.

 

For example, Bilstein offer two shock types - B6 Sport & B8 Sprint. B6 can handle mild lowering, but the B8 has a shorter shaft for more extreme lowering.
