anyone experience QTP exhaust cutout?

I had a cutout welded in after the resonator, before the y-pipe. It was a cheap Summit cutout that I had to manually open and close from under the car. It worked for me since I would only open it during track days. I didn't feel much gains with it, just a lot more noise.

Got to be careful with it though... my cutout stuck about 1 inch lower than the rest of the exhaust piping and it hit a big rock one morning on my way to work. Needless to say, it broke it and punctured the pipe. Luckily I did not damage the driveshaft in the process. I took it out and put in a 3" piping to replace the resonator section from the downpipe to the y-pipe. I feel more gains with this than having a cutout after the resonator.

you don't, you pull one of those Gen2 Mitsubitshi Eclipse Rally setups:

2 x 4G63 motors, front/rear

1 crazy tranny mounted in the passenger seat to equalize/balance the weight..
