Restrictor Pill Sizes for Bleed Type Boost Control

or it was creeping because the turbine is too small for the compressor and gets outflowed... hint hint -
Where does the BPV hose goto?
2005garnetGT replied to gianspi's topic in Turbo Powertrains (2.0GT, 2.5GT, 2.5XT)
its near the engine no, I didn't pull mine off all the way. its probably on the intake manifold though -

Restrictor Pill Sizes for Bleed Type Boost Control

its not magic, its pixie dust! Jon sprinkles it all over 40BBs for their "better then stock" spool -
edmund, have you actually logged the position of the cam to see if it ever got advanced that far?
-
does anyone actually know the limit of cam advance possible using the USDM cam setup? boostsr20 had 38 degrees of AVCS and I was under the impression (as were a lot of people in that enginuity thread) that ~30 was the max our cam gears could do
-
wow, yeah, thats really dangerous. should probably... uhhh... not do that.
-
yeah, in 93 or 94 they were a 5MT, but its been a 6MT since the V6 or V7 STi
-
the STi in the US has always had the 6MT

stock boost target is 6.19 13.54 13.54 13.54 12.96 11.99 11.60 11.22 10.64 10.25 8.51 from 2000rpms-6800rpms

its not OL all the time, it just won't wait to kick into OL based on calc load or other stuff.
-
heres the interesting thing about running 0 ol/cl delays; the ecu logic just abandons calculated load and RPM params and uses the primary fuel table to set AFRs; it even trims out with the o2 sensor. edit: I was being a bit simplistic with how it acts.
-
its easier to get to an optimal tune by starting close to one you know is pretty close.
-
ahh yes, my method won't work for tuners who hide their tunes in real time maps. they would take a little more effort to get..
-
If you have an AP v1, you can just download the rom with ecuflash, open it with enginuity, and copy iover all the relevant tables to ST. That would get you around the PT/ST locking, but still give you real-time tuning.
-
machined comp cover perhaps?
-
is it the mysterious 30.2% WGDC thing that some people have experienced?
-
people on nabisco were convinced that cobb was shuttering its windows because the AP1.0 was discontinued
-
I am fairly sure PT gets accel ign compensation maps and ST doesn't. thats the only one I am almost certain about. but you should take anything I say about AP/ST/PT with a grain of salt

spotted a Garnet red pearl LGT, license plate trbownd, going west on route 476 right near the st. davids exit.

DRL Disable, in 10 minutes
2005garnetGT replied to Deer Killer's topic in Walkthroughs :: Basic Operation & Maintenance
agreed, thats how i know to turn the headlights on, when your gauge cluster is brighter than your DRLs you should figure out whats up and turn on your headlights -
same for me on my 5MT test-drive, thought it was just me sucking at stickshift and ended up getting the 5EAT instead....
