STAROHMER
I have recently replaced my coolant temp sensor and now the car runs amazing, although my temperature gauge pings to maximum heat, even when just turning the ignition and not starting it. It is obviously not overheating as this will happen even after the car has been sitting overnight. I am getting a po118 code, I have bleed the coolant system to release all the air and replaced the thermostat as well. I am stumped on why it would be doing this. Any input would be much appreciated. silverton
If you replaced the sensor with a known good or new OE and still getting that code, you have an issue with your wiring harness somewhere.
STAROHMER
The sensor is not an OEM replacement, perhaps I should switch in and OEM one before anything as I have heard troubles with aftermarket sensors
