Need Help Wiring into Headlights!

I have an 09 LGT w/ the DRL's already disconnected. I recently got a new set of some euro style cupholders with 2 led lights in them. They came wired to a switch but I am not interested in using the switch/ Does anybody know the easiest way to tap into the headlights so that the cupholder switch comes in when you turn the parking lights and headlights on. 

So there is 3 positions on the headlight stalk,

Lowest one is headlights off because drl is disabled

The middle one is just parking lights, no headlights ( I want the cupholder lights to come on here.

The upmost position is the headlights and parking lights on (I want the cupholder lights to remain on in this position)

Any help on how I could achieve this ? Anybody help would be greatly appreciated!

Wire them to the orange illumination wire from the radio.

Any idea if i would have to incorporate a relay or any other special goodies?

Planning on cutting the plug and extending the wires. Tap the power from the cupholder lights into the orange illumination wire and then just ground to some point behind the radio?

its just the solid orange one right? not the orang/e white one. And its def not violet being an 09 right?
