InfinX
I have a 2006 subaru legacy 3.0 wagon and trying to make it sound better im not sure on what exhaust to get or get one custom made and am trying to spend the least amount of money as possible to sound the best. I don't want it to be to loud and obnoxious but just to be able to hear it well and sound good. I would prefer if it was just a axle back exhaust but I cant find any i dont want to have to get a cat back exhaust unless its decently cheap. Is there another options for cheap? And where would i find one?
Max Capacity
I had good luck with a local exhaust shop making up something. They had "magna-flow" knock off mufflers that they installed and sounded great, quiet at idle, had the boxer rumble and a little loud under WOT. It lasted for many years too. I brought my own DynaMax tips that I got from a local Speed Shop. That was back in 2013. Ask around local shops. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. aero901
I just put a 2019 STI/WRX Catback on my H6 Outback. Louder than stock but not obnoxious. DIY cost was around $200. Posted a bunch of pics of the process over on the Outback Forums: https://www.subaruoutback.org/threads/wrx-sti-exhaust-swapped-onto-an-06-outback.551237/post-6367376 Video of H6 noises.
