rallispec
just pretends it's your blow off valve. to answer your question, yes, several people have complained about it. I'm not sure what the best resolution is though. perhaps you should search on 'clutch squeak'
LotusSeven
Same here, but so far only when the car is cold. It tends to go away once the car is fully warmed up. I think it's coming from the clutch master cylinder, not the linkage. Heavy Metal Killed Beethoven Support Classical Music

RochNY91TSI
I've got the problem too and it does seem to go away when the car is warm (that or I've got my music too loud to hear it )

emorphien
Same here, I couldn't tell where the squeaky joint was though on a quick inspection.
nyc lgt
I too have the squeak - both me and the clutch on my LGT. What are the parts that I should spray with silicone? Is this an "under the car" or "inside the engine compartment" thing?
emorphien
I think it's above the plastic panel above your feet.
iceman
Next time you're at the dealer, have them take a look at it...I thought it was going to be something worse, but thye lubed it an no more squeek. If only they could do something about the clutch chatter in 1st... Goin' to Carolina in my mind...and in my car on the 16th!
sleepin gt
i had the same thing. the clutch is attached to a poll that runs as a pivot point for the other 2 pedals. My squeak was beind the gas pedal (yet still enduced by pushing the clutch) Take some stuff apart and lube
kanoswrx
I have the squeak as well, have had it pretty much the whole life of the car. My WRX had it too. It's really only when it's cold out, much more noticeable now that its winter. I will try some silicone lubricant I think when I get a chance. Now if I could just get my front suspension to stop squeaking and making noises when going over bumps in the road.
tsyGT
I have the same squeak periodically when it's cold. But I think mine's coming from my seat, not the pedal. I'm going to have my dealer tighten my seat down the next time I go in. tom tom
emorphien
You can tell if it's the pedal by pushing the pedal with your hand. It's easily overpowered by open windows or the radio but it is annoying.
starlabs
I've had it too.. but it seems to come and go. When I first got the car it was rather loud and annoying. But now, about 5-6 months later I don't notice it at all. I did try spraying some WD40 on it some time back, but that didn't seem to help at the time. -=- Livin life at 140 BPM -=-
