DJandTheLegacy
got a absolute steal on some VS243 Varrstoen's but they are huge. Fronts are 19x9.5 and the rear is massive with 19x11. Will this fit on my 2008 Subaru Legacy GT Sedan? I need to know before i buy this weekend. They are only 300$ so it's kinda a steal.
BoozeRS05
Do you know the complete stock wheel specs and what size tires your currently running? And can you tell us the specs of the new wheels and what tire you’d run? Also any suspension upgrades to your car? DJandTheLegacy
I'm running stock suspension. 5x100 17x8.25 stock everything. The wheels are 19x9.5 in the front and 19x11 in the back. 5x120 i can always buy adapters. Edited September 20, 2022 by DJandTheLegacy
BoozeRS05
Your stock wheels definitely aren’t 17x8.25 and you haven’t included the full specs, the wheel’s offset namely. Also what tires are you currently running and what tire would you plan to run on the new setup? Infosecdad
Which legacy do you have? Most of the 17" are 17x7. Like mentioned, offset will be important. Generally, people don't run staggered on Subaru's AWD because the front and rear tire diameter has to be within 2mm of each other. So, you would need to make sure the wider rear tires were within measured diameter of the fronts.
BoozeRS05
I was trying to force him to figure out it out on his own, that there is no GD way those wheels will fit. It’s a silly question in fact. Regardless of the offset, tire choice, adapters, etc. those wheels will not fit a 4th gen Legacy. 1 EB's Subaru journal - 2005 LegacyGT Wagon & 2014 Forester FB25 (2008 specB - RIP) IG@legacygtliving
DJandTheLegacy
thanks for all your help, this is my first car lol, my dad owned one back when I was younger. It's in the shop right now getting it's engine rebuilt so i couldn't go and check the specs! i appreciate the help and found some 18" i just need adaptors for them
BoozeRS05
I’d recommend reading the wheel/tire stickies in the correct technical forum, before buying. There is an amazing amount of detailed info in there on how to choose a good wheel and tire for our cars. https://www.legacygt.com/forum/35-wheelstires/ Even a 15mm adapter will push most wheels beyond the fenders on a Legacy. 1 EB's Subaru journal - 2005 LegacyGT Wagon & 2014 Forester FB25 (2008 specB - RIP) IG@legacygtliving
Infosecdad
Honestly, you are probably better off finding wheels that are 5x100. Pushing them out with adapters will wear the wheel bearings faster and could be a headache.
