I have tried to use my LG external cd player by using the USB connection but for whatever reason it is not recognized. Am I missing something? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.... SubOperator Posted July 17, 2022 Share Posted July 17, 2022 External CD player is unlikely to be recognized by audio system in your car; it was not designed to do that. Your best bet is to rip the content of the CDs into MP3 files and put them on USB stick which your audio system *should* recognize and allow you to play MP3 tracks from USB stick. Bonus point - fewer scratches on your CDs.
