samuel082799
I recently had to pull my transmission out because I blew third gear on my 5MT. I'm getting ready to put the trans back in and my throw out bearing sounds like a skateboard wheel and has a little rattle on it. It only has about 12k miles on it and it came with my spec stage 2 plus clutch so idk what the quality is like. I'm wondering if anyone knows about any good TOB options? I'm leaning towards just getting an oem subaru one unless there is a better aftermarket option. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
rhino6303
Oem subaru is the best. I would actually get the updated bearing from the 2015-current wrx. Part number 30502AA160.

I think the new wrx are 6 speeds if I remember correctly Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
apexi
x2 for oem, which should be 30502AA121(?) https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_2005_Outback-25L-TURBO-5MT-XT/Clutch-Release-Bearing/75434842/30502AA121.html Aftermarket bearings might not have high temp grease like the updated subaru bearings https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10150949-9999.pdf

The 2018 moved to a 230mm clutch (slightly larger diameter) but the release bearing is still the same.
samuel082799
Ok I'm going to go with an oem one, thanks for the advice everyone. I was surprised that the spec one was shot after 12k miles. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
