Is the car parked outside or inside ?

You may want to use some Tomcat mouse blocks. I find they do a good job of keeping mice out of the house, sheds and cars.

This works if you have a station away from the car, the best thing is to zip tie a bundle of dryer sheets in a couple places under the hood as well as a few under the seats.

Irish spring soap chunks work also but much harder to place them, better for a car that doesn't move much

I do have dryer sheets in the cars.

I'll have to put a block in the new garage, just to be safe. I do have blocks in the sheds, in the basement by the hatchway. Since I've been using them, about 10 years, I don't have issues, other than having to replace them from time to time because they are getting used.

I find the one in the plastic case by the rear corner downspout, by hatchway, gets replaced at least once or twice a year.
