Turbo oil drain angle of the dangle

Am I crazy or does this look like its asking to leak? The hard pipe out of the turbo is angled towards the front of the turbo and engine, but the rubber hose still looks pretty angled to me?

Nothing there really moves so once clamped it should be fine.

Same dangle angle as mine. Wouldn't mangle trying to wrangle. Man this is fun, awesome title.

Thanks for the input. My old turbo drain was leaking a little, I think because of improper angle of the turbo pipe, and old hard rubber.

Mine was leaking pretty bad from the gasket between the outlet pipe and turbo CHRA. I had to sand the flange flat in order to get it to stop leaking. I guess they warp a little bit over time.

And to think the factory clamp is a little pinch thing... not even a screw clamp and it doesn't typically leak.

 

I just installed all new factory components on my rebuild and there are no drips at all.

Yeah I tossed the OE clamps a while ago (oops) so I have the hose clamps. But they are quality (non slotted so they don't chew up the hose).

 

 

I will take into account the sanding of the drain flange. Just saw a thread where covertrussian said he sanded it flat and added high temp RTV
