Available OEM upgrade paths? 02 L Wagon

So the struts and most all the suspension on my 02 Legacy L model Wagon are completely shot to the point where it really is starting to get to be unsafe. I just bought the car and am looking for affordable ways to get the job done.

 

I am not looking to lower the car or make it handle like a race car, I would like to at least get it back to factory performance if not a little better. I have seen lots of wrx and sti guys selling off there factory strut setups for cheap after upgrading but I am not sure of what years and models of Subaru's will interchange with my 02' Wagon?

 

I wouldn't mind if the suspension gets a little stiffer or lower, or for that matter a little higher. I mostly want to use the car for utility, camping, adventuring etc..

 

Been around a few road race course's in my day but this is certainly not the car for that, but ya know I still like to drive and it is a 5 speed

 

Anyways I am new to the Subaru world so I need some experienced folks on the forums to guide me in the right direction...
