LegacyGT412
So I have had a 98 Legacy Outback 2.5 5 speed manual that I have been doing a few mods to. It has flat top pistons, 97 heads, 97 intake manifold, all ported by me when I worked at a machine shop. I have also swapped in a 2005 WRX transmission with a R160 rear diff for 3.90 final gear to drive highway speed here in Arizona. It is also on 2006 Legacy Gt wheels, so speedometer is actually **** close. So I finally lowered the car using the 2005 WRX struts and Tein lowering springs and sits exactly where I want it. But now it seems like the front axles are binding at any speed above 15mph. I have been using the WRX front axles but now I'm thinking they may be too long and possibly need shorter for the ride height it is at now. Any ideas which axles I should use that works with WRX transmission and Outback hubs? I will post some pictures of this build later as I know most of you will want to see this grandpa wagon
LegacyGT412
Nevermind, found that 2005 Impreza RS axles that are only 30.25" fit perfectly for this setup. Before it was lowered, the longer 30 11/16" axles worked without binding.
