kinz1987 Posted July 27, 2020 Share Posted July 27, 2020 Hey All, So I just bought an 05 Legacy GT with the 5 speed manual. I’ve noticed that every so often that it doesn’t like to shift into 3rd (very rare), downshifting from 5th to 4th doesn’t always happen, and reverse is often a real pain to shift into. Does anyone have any possible ideas on what I should be looking at, before I just assume the trans is bad? FYI the clutch feels perfect. Don’t think it’s that. Is it just the first thing you saw with the appropriate model year, so you went there? Sounds like it could be worn syncros. Doubtful that it would be linkage related, but you could check that.
