Mbpeck
So I have had an 05 LGT for about a year and a half now and have put 15k miles on it and have put on a cobb, vf52, cobb sf intake, perrin turbo inlet, catless up pipe, invidia catless downpipe and a gfb obv. That being said the car is running poorly after installing the turbo inlet so I believe that is the issue. When at idle the cars afr is anywhere between 16.00-20.44(making it sound like a rotary). But when driving they drop to between 14-16. Another issue is that the turbo makes -0.08-0.00 psi of boost. I was wondering what other things to test before ripping out my turbo inlet...again. awfulwaffle
That sounds like one hell of an air leak
Mbpeck
that is the only thing it could be right?
DaveWaters
Does that bov recirculate? If not did you make sure the bov return nipple is capped on the new inlet?
Mbpeck
the bov does recirculate. There is an air line that runs from the driver side of the head to the turbo inlet, I dont know what it is called, but the stock hose that went from the stock turbo intlet to that air line didn't fit on the perrin inlet. I had to cut the connection to smaller size, but it also shortened it so now they are barely connected, is there a replacement air line I need to get or what
DaveWaters
Not sure but if the hose didn’t fit right you may have to use a reducer splice and a piece of smaller diameter hose to make it work. If it’s currently leaking there, that would explain the problem you’re having though. Maybe someone with a Perrin inlet will reply.
