Pushed the brake pedal like I had the previous 20+ times and pressed the button. Nada. Took me a bit to figure out you have to push the clutch on a manual transmission in order to start the car. The DMV here in MD is by appointment only due to Covid, and it was great....in and out in about 20 minutes. Hopefully they keep the appointment system going forward. I think it just varies by state regarding gold vs black star. Maryland mails out the licenses so all I got today was a printed out temporary license.
