Northern1
Wondering what the best option is (for the price) for a new clutch and flywheel. Also if there is anything I should watch out for or avoid?
Brighton96
I just replaced all my stuff with exedy and it all went really smoothly and was a good value in regards to cost of OEM vs cost of upgrading.
Senseless1
I'm running an eupgraded exedy clutch kit and flywheel for a 2008 wrx on my JDM 99 legacy trans that was originally set up for a 96 cable clutch 5speed. Then retrofitted to a complete 08 wrx system with the master and slave cylinder. The WRX master cylinder is an extra mm in diameterncompared to the older master cylinders, so I have a very light pedal. Complete stock feel. Everything bolts up except the throttle body and slave cylinder have to be modified, but seems like all the 5 speeds are the same as long as you get the right style eg push type vs pull type. Cable and hydraulic are interchangeable as well with pedal box and previously mentioned modifications to slave cylinder and throttle body. Basically a cruise control delete is required. Now if I could just stop breaking transmissions. Luckily the 08 5speed (rip) was a freeby hence all the effort to swap over
Leggyobw97
I got the ACT stage 1 with the ACT lwfw. Only 6 miles on it so far, but no CEL, no problems, drives nice. Not pushing it during the break-in period, so can't really say how different accel feels.
